Last night my fiance's cousin was in the hospital on a very joyous occasion. She was having her baby! However things do not always go as well as they should. The baby did not have any complications nor did the mother and they are both doing wonderful. However, some families (for whatever reason) have a very hard time getting along. Five minutes maybe, but three or four hours? Without going into explicit detail, it is a very sad day when the grandmother of the of the newborn is unable to be in the delivery room with her sixteen year old daughter, especially when the new mother wanted and needed her mother there.
I wrote this song along with my old band a few years ago and thought about it on several occasions last night when everything was hitting the fan:
I've tried real hard to make a difference in life,
tried more and more to be a man who knows how to love
I've tried so hard to forgive and make it right,
tried more and more to turn this black crow into white dove
We need to learn to love
We need to learn to loveHow come we won't see right through all the lying and the decieving ways its true,
Our generation has to come to decide there is no more hope left none but you
Just because things aren't going our way does not mean we have the right to be in the way of someone else from experiencing any of God's most awesome wonders! He has blessed us with many different acts of his love to remind us of his awesome and indescribable power. We all need to remember to watch what we do and say so that we do not impede anything that God has for someone. Each breath that we take is a gift from God. Do not take it lightly and just remember that when you think no one else in the world knows what you are going through, God is there right beside you to hold you up each step that you take. Be still and breathe.
